ZDNET's recommendations are based on many hours of testing, research, and comparison shopping. We gather data from the best available sources, including vendor and retailer listings as well as other relevant and independent reviews sites. And we pore over customer reviews to find out what matters to real people who already own and use the products and services we’re assessing.
When you click through from our site to a retailer and buy a product or service, we may earn affiliate commissions. This helps support our work, but does not affect what we cover or how, and it does not affect the price you pay. Neither ZDNET nor the author are compensated for these independent reviews. Indeed, we follow strict guidelines that ensure our editorial content is never influenced by advertisers.

Hatch has been in the business of helping people fall asleep since 2016 with its line of white noise machines and sunrise alarm clocks. But now it wants to track your sleep with the new Hatch Sleep Clock , announced today.
The clock is the latest iteration of Hatch's sunrise alarm clock models, except this one has motion-sensing technology to track your sleep and tell you how well you slept while providing actionable ways to improve your sleep routine and get a better night's sleep.

"We're entirely focused on behaviors you can control, like what time you get in bed, what time you get out of bed, whether you followed through on your routine for the night," Hatch's chief product officer, Fiona Biles, told ZDNET. "And we think that's a much better way to actually improve sleep outcomes over time than giving you a score on something that you can't actually directly control."
