Lovable signs multiyear deal with Google Cloud to up usage 5x, source says
Lovable and Google announce expanded multiyear collaboration, with Lovable's Google Cloud usage set to increase fivefold.

Lovable, the Stockholm-based startup known for its vibe-coding technology, has significantly expanded its partnership with Google Cloud. On Wednesday, the companies announced a multiyear deal that will see Lovable's usage of Google Cloud services increase fivefold, according to a person familiar with the agreement. The terms of the deal, which will see Lovable gain expanded access to Google's AI models, including Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini, were not disclosed.
However, this individual revealed that the partnership will also provide Lovable with greater access to Anthropic's AI model, Claude, which is widely used for coding tasks. This development is particularly notable given Google's recent $10 billion investment in Anthropic, which included a promise of another $30 billion if certain performance targets are met. The deal also has significant implications for Anthropic, which was valued at nearly $1 trillion after raising $65 billion in funding.
By partnering with Lovable, a rapidly growing startup that has crossed $400 million in annualized revenue, Google is positioning itself to help Anthropic meet its performance targets. Lovable's impressive growth trajectory, which has seen it add $100 million in revenue in a single month with just 146 employees, makes it an attractive partner for Google. The expanded partnership will also see Lovable's agent made available through Google Cloud's enterprise agent marketplace, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery.
Additionally, Lovable will integrate with Wiz, Google's recent $32 billion acquisition, to enhance code security. This integration will enable Wiz to identify and remediate security problems in real time, providing an additional layer of protection for Lovable's clients. By selling Lovable's agents through Google's marketplace, the cloud giant aims to simplify enterprise procurement and billing, making it easier for Lovable to land more enterprise customers.
For Google, the calculus is straightforward: by supporting the growth of Lovable and Anthropic, the company can generate revenue to help fund its significant capital expenditures, which are expected to reach $180 billion to $190 billion this year.
