NASA's Lunar Mission to Don High-Tech Prada Long Johns

In a fusion of fashion and space exploration, NASA has unveiled its partnership with luxury brand Prada to design the Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garment (LCVG) for the Artemis IV mission. This high-tech base layer will be worn underneath the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) spacesuit, developed in collaboration with Axiom Space and Prada. The LCVG plays a crucial role in maintaining astronauts' comfort and safety during spacewalks on the Moon.

Its innovative design features cold water circulation through embedded tubes to dissipate heat away from the body. A backup system is also integrated, ensuring continued functionality in case of primary system failure. Additionally, the LCVG houses a ventilation system, although details on this aspect are yet to be fully disclosed.
